Quarterly Research Meeting - Local Authority Champions of Research (LACoR)

  • Venue: Online Zoom Workshop
  • Start: Wed, 14 Oct 2020 10:30:00 BST
  • End: Wed, 14 Oct 2020 12:00:00 BST

This Fuse QRM is for anyone and everyone interested in research use in local government from a public health perspective.

It will look at developing and testing new approaches for embedding research and evidence use in local government, based on the findings from a proof of concept study (LACoR), funded by The Health Foundation and working with three local authorities.

The event will provide an overview of the project findings, including a detailed logic model, which was presented at the Lancet Public Health Science conference. The findings are informing a UK Prevention Research Partnership (UKPRP) consortium grant application led by Fuse and this online workshop will enable you to feed directly into the application. The workshop will also help you to apply the learning and logic model of the study to your own organisation and context.

What will I gain from this?

This Quarterly Research Meeting offers an opportunity to hear about, and engage with, the emerging findings from this study. The event will provide an overview of the research itself, followed by facilitated online breakout sessions where participants will help reflect on the findings, and shape meaningful recommendations for policy, practice and future research in the region.
