Aim and objectives
The aim of the conference is to share learning and reflect upon experiences of tackling health inequalities across the public health system to ensure prioritisation of prevention in the North East. The conference will:
Showcase examples of innovative public health practice that prioritises prevention across the North East Raise awareness of research to build the evidence base of new ways of working Foster collaborative and cross-sector working across the public health system to tackle emerging and future public health challenges Provide an opportunity to network with colleagues across the region Promote an asset-based approach to improve the public’s health and reduce health inequalities
Who should attend?
The conference is aimed at anyone working in or involved with public health. Attendees are welcome from local authorities, Public Health England, NHS, academics, the voluntary and community sector, and wider public health partners.
