Team Alpha at the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law at Teesside University

Co-production research has been described in a variety of ways: knowledge translation, participatory action research and collaborative research to name a few. Most tend to adhere to similar principles, where the exchange, synthesis, and dissemination of knowledge between researchers, policy makers, ractitioners and end users is the primary goal. The term is increasingly recognised in the health sector; however its application can also vary, with no true ‘one size fits all’ model.

TeamAlpha are experts in this field and have been carrying out co-production research with public health teams for the last nine years.

In this workshop, we will explore the different coproduction research experiences across two local authorities; County Durham and Middlesbrough and how has this changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. What does this approach involve, and what are its benefits and challenges?

This event will take place on the Microsoft Teams platform with video or dial in options available.
Practitioners and researchers/students are invited to attend the workshop.
