Senior Research Associate - University of Cambridge

The University of Cambridge is looking to recruit a senior researcher to establish a new programme of research on lifestyle factors in secondary prevention.

The programme will develop and evaluate interventions to change dietary and /or physical activity behaviours in patient groups to understand the aetiology of disease and enhance health outcomes. The disease scope of the research is open. The post-holder will be supported by the appointment of a post-doctoral research associate and through access to a shared infrastructure which includes the Cambridge NIHR Biomedical Research Centre measurement platform, set up to facilitate measurement of physical activity, diet and nutritional biomarkers.

Applicants will have post-doctoral experience in a relevant area, coupled with a significant publication record and scientific recognition in this area of research. Ideally they will have experience of developing and evaluating lifestyle interventions and either leading research in a clinical setting or working closely with clinicians.

The role is based in the MRC Epidemiology Unit which is a department of the School of Clinical Medicine at the University of Cambridge.
