Developing Local Authority Research Systems in the North East and North Cumbria: learning from three successful NIHR projects and working across research infrastructures
About this event
This Fuse Research Programme Meeting (RPM) is co-hosted with NIHR Applied Research
Collaboration (ARC), Clinical Research Network (CRN) and Research Design Service (RDS) for
the North East and North Cumbria (NENC). It will share learning from three NIHR funded
research projects in the North East to develop research systems with local authorities. The
event will bring together insights from collaborative studies between health practitioners
and academic researchers in South Tyneside, Newcastle and South Tees Middlesbrough.
Attendees will be able to take part in an interactive panel discussion to explore how we can
support research systems in local government across different research infrastructures in
the region.
Who should attend?
This RPM is aimed at anyone with an interest in research in local authorities, including
colleagues in public health, social care and voluntary and community organisations. This
